Description

Sheba Platform Ltd., the largest service provider company in Bangladesh, is seeking a proactive and dynamic Key Account Manager to drive merchant acquisition, retention, and engagement for our digital payment platform. This role is instrumental in expanding our merchant network, ensuring seamless onboarding, and fostering strong relationships to maximize transaction volumes.

 

Salary & Benefits:

  • Total Salary: BDT 12,000 per month.
  • TADA (Travel and Daily Allowance): As per the policy.

Employment Type: Contractual (3 months tenure).

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

 

Merchant Onboarding

  • Identify potential merchants across various business types (e.g., retail, F&B, services, micro-merchants).
  • Conduct field visits to engage merchants and introduce the PSP wallet.
  • Collect and verify required documentation for merchant registration.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding, including technical setup of the wallet or Bangla QR system.

 

Merchant Retention and Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with onboarded merchants to foster loyalty.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with merchants to encourage wallet usage.
  • Act as a point of contact for merchant queries and concerns, resolving issues promptly.

 

Drive Gross Transaction Value (GTV)

  • Promote consistent wallet usage among merchants to increase transaction volumes.
  • Identify high-potential merchants and develop tailored plans to boost their GTV.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to implement promotional campaigns and incentives.

 

Merchant Education

  • Train merchants and their staff on how to use the PSP wallet, including the benefits of adopting digital payments.
  • Provide user manuals, guides, and live demonstrations as needed.
  • Address concerns regarding fees, security, and technical challenges.

 

Issue Resolution

  • Act as the first line of support for merchant complaints and technical difficulties.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve escalated issues efficiently.
  • Track and monitor resolutions to ensure merchant satisfaction.

 

Reporting and Feedback

  • Provide daily and weekly reports on merchant acquisition, retention, and transaction activity.
  • Share market insights, competitor activities, and merchant feedback with the management team.


 

Qualifications and Skills (Suggested)

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: Previous experience in sales, field activation, or merchant acquisition (preferably in fintech, banking, or MFS sectors).
  • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of digital payment systems and familiarity with smartphone apps.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Customer-focused mindset with problem-solving abilities.
    • Self-motivated, goal-driven, and adaptable to a dynamic work environment.
  • Language: Proficiency in Bengali (spoken and written) is mandatory; English is an added advantage.
     

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Number of merchants onboarded per month.
  • Merchant retention rate.
  • Gross Transaction Value (GTV) generated by assigned merchants.
  • Merchant satisfaction and issue resolution time.
